Get ready to say Aloha to an out-of-this-world adventure! From 24 May to 15 June 2025, Gardens by the Bay in Singapore transforms its iconic Supertree Grove into the Asia Pacific’s first-ever Disney’s Lilo & Stitch-themed Children’s Festival. Coinciding with the release of Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch film on 22 May 2025, this vibrant, tropical-themed outdoor carnival is a must-visit for families during the June school holidays. With free admission, immersive installations, and a heartwarming focus on the values of ‘Ohana (family), friendship, and self-acceptance, this festival promises a galactic dose of fun for children and adults alike.

A Tropical Adventure Awaits at Supertree Grove

Step into a Hawaiian paradise at the Supertree Grove, where the otherworldly backdrop of towering Supertrees perfectly complements Stitch’s extraterrestrial charm. This 11th edition of Gardens by the Bay’s Children’s Festival brings the beloved blue alien’s mischievous spirit to life through interactive play zones, carnival games, and exclusive merchandise. The festival, supported by the Singapore Tourism Board and Better Everyday by Tote Board, runs daily from 10 AM to 9 PM, with play spaces closing at 7 PM.

1. The Great ‘Ohana Wave

Buckle up for an exhilarating ride! The Great ‘Ohana Wave is a 28-metre-long, nearly 7-metre-tall slide spiralling around one of the iconic Supertrees. Designed for children aged 6 to 12, this thrilling slide lets young adventurers “surf” down in inflatable tubes, boosting confidence and sparking joy. It’s a standout attraction that blends physical fun with the spirit of ‘Ohana.

2. Forest of Belonging

Dive into an inflatable forest-inspired playscape that captures Stitch’s journey of finding belonging. The Forest of Belonging invites children to navigate through hidden messages that emphasise the importance of family and acceptance. As Stitch famously said, “‘Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” This interactive zone is perfect for sparking meaningful conversations with your little ones.

3. Space Adventure

Ready for a cosmic mission? In the Space Adventure zone, children can hop onto swing cars to power up light beams, channelling Stitch’s intergalactic origins. This high-energy activity encourages teamwork and creativity while immersing children in a space-themed challenge that’s out of this world!

4. Stitch’s Mischief Makers

Unleash your inner mischief at this beach-themed kinetic sand play area. Children can mould and create with tactile sand, fostering sensory development and imaginative play. With moulds and props inspired by the Pacific island setting of Lilo & Stitch, this zone is a hit for younger children looking to get creative.

5. Meet Stitch in Person

Don’t miss the chance to say Aloha to Stitch himself! On 7 and 8 June 2025, meet-and-greet sessions will be held at Supertree Grove Lawn at 3:45 PM, 4:45 PM, 5:45 PM, and 6:45 PM. Passes are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis 15 minutes before each session, so arrive early to secure your spot for a photo with the galaxy’s favourite blue alien.

6. The Way to ‘Ohana: Garden Rhapsody

After the play spaces close at 7 PM, stick around for a dazzling special edition of the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM. Titled The Way to ‘Ohana, this 15-minute spectacle features synchronised lights on the Supertrees dancing to music from the 2002 Lilo & Stitch soundtrack. It’s a magical way to end your day at the festival.

7. Educational Fun with Plants on the Move!

On 31 May and 14 June 2025, join Dr Janelle Jung, Gardens by the Bay’s Hawaii-born plant researcher, for a free 35-minute Plants on the Move! session. Through storytelling, children will learn about plants like coconut, taro, and breadfruit, which early settlers brought from Southeast Asia to the Pacific Islands. This interactive programme blends education with the Pacific setting of Lilo & Stitch, making it both fun and informative.

8. Exclusive Stitch Merchandise and Workshops

Shop for exclusive Lilo & Stitch-themed merchandise at the retail pop-up along the North Colonnade, featuring apparel, plush toys, and unique Gardens by the Bay designs with Stitch against the Supertrees. Craft workshops, such as lei-making, astronomy-themed sand art, and space lantern decorating, are available on select dates (25, 31 May, 1, 7, 8, 14, and 15 June) for S$15 per person.

9. The Great Island Series Performances

Every weekend (24, 25, 31 May, 1, 14, and 15 June) from 5 PM to 7 PM, enjoy The Great Island Series by Cake Theatre at Supertree Grove Lawn. These lively two-hour performances feature dance, games, and playful antics, bringing the tropical spirit of Lilo & Stitch to life.

10. Photo Contest with Stitch

From 24 May to 8 June 2025, snap a creative photo with the 2-metre-tall Stitch figurine inspired by the live-action Lilo & Stitch for a chance to win four film tickets and a pair of Lilo & Stitch stationery sets. Don’t forget to dress in your brightest tropical flair to capture the perfect shot!

Why Visit?

This Stitch-themed festival is more than just fun—it’s a celebration of family, friendship, and embracing who you are. The thoughtfully curated activities weave in the emotional themes of Lilo & Stitch, making it a meaningful experience for children and parents alike.
