If you're a Singaporean looking for a refreshing way to reconnect with nature without spending a single cent, you're in for a treat! Gardens by the Bay, our beloved green oasis in the heart of the city, has just launched two brand-new guided weekend tours focused on sustainability and the fascinating world of wildlife. Best of all, these experiences are completely free for Singaporeans and permanent residents. A fantastic opportunity to explore, learn, and appreciate the natural beauty right on our doorstep. These tours are part of the Gardens' ongoing Nature and Sustainability series, supported by Keppel, and they shine a spotlight on the incredible biodiversity and ecological harmony that thrive amidst our urban landscape. Whether you're a keen birdwatcher, a curious family, or simply someone who loves a peaceful morning stroll, there's something here to ignite your sense of wonder.

The Secret Life of Pollinators: A Buzzing Adventure Every Weekend

Imagine wandering through lush gardens while uncovering the vital roles played by bees, butterflies, and birds in keeping our ecosystems thriving. That's exactly what The Secret Life of Pollinators tour offers. A delightful one-hour guided walk that reveals how these tiny heroes support food production and plant survival, and how Gardens by the Bay actively conserves their habitats.

Held every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, this tour is perfect for weekend lie-ins followed by an inspiring outing. Meet outside the Jurassic Nest Food Hall, and get ready to see familiar flowers in a whole new light. (A gentle note: if you have a known bee allergy, it might be best to sit this one out for safety.)

Urban Biodiversity Walk: Spot Wildlife and Contribute to Real Science

For those who fancy an early start and a touch of citizen science, the Urban Biodiversity Walk is an absolute gem. This 90-minute adventure takes you on a relaxed stroll to hidden spots teeming with life, where you'll use provided binoculars to identify birds and other wildlife. No prior experience needed. Just bring your enthusiasm! You'll even help collect real biodiversity data, contributing to ongoing monitoring efforts in the Gardens.

This one runs on the last Saturday of every month, kicking off on 31 January 2026, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. It's suitable for ages 10 and above, with the meeting point at Gardens by the Bay MRT Exit 1. Convenient and easy to reach by public transport.

What makes these tours truly special is how they blend education with enjoyment, highlighting Singapore's commitment to sustainability in an accessible, hands-on way. In a fast-paced city like ours, moments like these remind us of the delicate balance between urban development and nature, and why protecting it matters.
