Hey food adventurers! If you've ever dreamed of a pizza experience that's equal parts delicious and downright theatrical. Like watching dough soar through the air to the beat of thumping Italian tunes, then buckle up. Singapore's food scene just got a whole lot crazier with the arrival of Crazy Pizza, the infamous Italian import that's been wowing crowds in Milan and Rome. Spotted right here in our Lion City, this pop-up is serving up ultra-thin slices of heaven with a side of high-energy entertainment. And the best part? It's only around until December 14, 2025. Consider this your official wake-up call to grab a table before the hype train leaves the station.
From Milan Mayhem to Singapore Sizzle: What's the Buzz About Crazy Pizza?
Picture this: Founded in 2019 by Formula 1 mogul Flavio Briatore and restaurateur Francesco Costa, Crazy Pizza isn't your average pizzeria. It's a full-on sensory explosion where premium Italian ingredients meet non-stop action. Think hand-tossed dough spinning like a circus act, DJ sets pumping up the vibe, and pizzas so thin and crispy they could double as frisbees. Back in Italy, spots in Milan and Rome draw lines for their "flying pizza" shows and bold flavours that reimagine classics with a modern twist. Now, for the first time in Asia, this electric energy has landed at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel's Capitol Bistro. Bar. Patisserie, transforming the semi-alfresco space into a tropical-Italian fever dream from October 23 to December 14.
The Menu: Thin, Crispy, and Utterly Irresistible
At the heart of it all? Pizzas baked to perfection with minimal yeast for that signature shatter-crisp base. The pop-up menu keeps things authentic yet elevated, with options for every palate, from veggie lovers to truffle fiends. Here's a sneak peek at the stars of the show:
Must-Try Pizzas
Margherita (SGD $29): The OG classic, fresh buffalo mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and basil. Simple, timeless, and a perfect intro to the Crazy thin crust.
Rustica (SGD $32): A veggie powerhouse with grilled peppers, eggplants, zucchini, and mozzarella. Ideal for plant-based pizza purists who want bold, smoky flavours.
Tartufo (SGD $54): Indulge in luxury with buffalo mozzarella, truffle paste, mushrooms, and shavings of fresh black truffle. Earthy, decadent, and worth every cent.
Pata Negra (SGD $58): For the carnivores, thin slices of premium Pata Negra ham atop creamy buffalo mozzarella. Salty, savoury bliss in every bite.
Sweet Finishers (Prepared Tableside!)
Tiramisu (SGD $18): Fluffy layers of coffee-soaked sponge, mascarpone, and cocoa, whipped up right at your table for that fresh-from-the-kitchen magic.
Crazy Cake (SGD $18): A sinful stack of buttery croissant, Nutella, and cream. It's like a dessert hug from Italy. Rich, gooey, and impossible to resist.
Sip on These
Wash it down with one of four citrusy signature cocktails (SGD $18 each), like the Love in Portofino (mango, grapefruit, and sweet vermouth for a tropical twist) or the spicy Pedro (tequila, apricot liqueur, lime, cocoa bitters, and a kick of hot sauce). They're light, summery, and designed to keep the party going.
Pro tip: Pair your pizza with some antipasti or a crisp salad from the full menu to make it a proper feast. Delivery and in-room dining are options if you're hotel-bound.
The Real Magic: Shows, Beats, and Non-Stop Energy
This isn't just dinner, it's a show. Catch the live pizza-spinning performances daily at 12:20pm, 1:00pm, 1:45pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm, and 8:30pm. Watch skilled pizzaiolos twirl dough high above your head like it's a scene from a Fellini film. Add in resident DJ sets and live music, and you've got an atmosphere that's casual yet electric. Smart casual dress code encouraged, but leave the stuffy vibes at home.
