Blue Bottle Coffee has just opened its first standalone café in Southeast Asia at Singapore’s Paragon Shopping Centre, and it’s already stealing hearts with its minimalist charm and expertly crafted brews. Nestled in the heart of Orchard Road, this new spot, which opened on July 17, 2025, is the perfect blend of cosy and chic, inviting you to slow down and enjoy a moment with your coffee.

If you’re new to Blue Bottle, here’s the scoop: founded in 2002 in Oakland, California, by former clarinetist W. James Freeman, this cult-favourite brand is all about quality and precision. With over 100 locations worldwide, from the U.S. to Japan, Blue Bottle has built a loyal following for its single-origin beans and meticulous brewing methods. Their first Singapore outpost at Raffles City earlier this year was a store-within-a-store at LUMINE, but this Paragon café marks their first standalone venture in the region, complete with indoor and alfresco seating for up to 70 guests.

Walking into the café, you’re greeted by a warm, modern space that feels both elegant and approachable. Think stainless steel accents, oak wood furnishings, and terracotta-toned plaster walls, paired with lush outdoor seating featuring ceiling fans and greenery. It’s the kind of place where you can sip your coffee while soaking in the vibrant Orchard Road scene or settle in for a quiet moment indoors at a communal table.

The menu is a coffee lover’s dream, offering Blue Bottle’s signature espresso-based drinks, pour-overs, and cold brews. Standouts include the New Orleans-Style Iced Coffee (SGD $8), a refreshing blend of roasted chicory, cane sugar, and chocolatey-fruity notes, or the smooth and earthy Matcha Latte (SGD $9.50) for non-coffee drinkers. If you’re in the mood for a classic, their Latte (SGD $8.50) pairs velvety steamed milk with a full-bodied espresso.

But it’s not just about the coffee. Blue Bottle has teamed up with Bakery Brera to serve a delightful array of pastries, with a few exclusive treats at the Paragon location. The Liège Waffle (SGD $8.50) is a must-try, boasting a crisp, caramelized crust and a fluffy center, while the Yogurt Bowl (SGD $12) combines creamy yogurt, granola, and fresh strawberries for a refreshing bite. You’ll also find unique offerings like the Pandan Canelé with Kaya (SGD $6) and a sea salt cookie (SGD $5.50) that’s perfectly crisp yet soft inside.

To celebrate the opening, Blue Bottle rolled out a special treat: an Embroidered Blue Bottle Tote (SGD $50), designed in collaboration with Japanese brand Ball & Chain. This stylish, water-repellent tote was available for personalisation with cute stickers by Singaporean artist Joy Ho during the opening weekends (July 17–20 and July 25–27).
