Sushi lovers, get ready for a game-changing dining experience! Sushiro, Japan’s leading conveyor belt sushi chain, opened its 16th outlet in Singapore at Mandai Wildlife Reserve on June 11, 2025. This isn’t just another Sushiro branch—it’s the first in Southeast Asia to feature the innovative “Digiro” (Digital Sushiro Vision) system, blending cutting-edge technology with the chain’s signature fresh and affordable sushi. Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting new addition to Singapore’s dining scene.

A New Era of Sushi Dining: The Digiro Experience
Located at Dining Alley in Mandai Wildlife East, a publicly accessible area near Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, and River Wonders, this 279-seat, 57-table outlet introduces a futuristic twist to the traditional kaiten sushi experience. Gone are the days of watching plates of sushi glide by on a physical conveyor belt. Instead, Sushiro’s Digiro system replaces the belt with a large, interactive touchscreen at each table, displaying a virtual conveyor belt of sushi and menu items. Diners can browse, tap to order, and have their freshly prepared dishes delivered directly to their table via a dedicated conveyor belt.
This innovative setup isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s designed to enhance hygiene and reduce food waste. By preparing each plate to order, Sushiro ensures maximum freshness while minimizing unnecessary circulation, aligning with Mandai Wildlife Reserve’s commitment to sustainability. The chain claims this eco-friendly approach “streamlines the ordering process and minimizes food waste,” making it a win for both diners and the planet.

Fun and Games with Dakkosushi
The Digiro system doesn’t stop at ordering convenience. Sushiro has added a playful element with its “Dakkosushi” game mode, featuring animated sushi-shaped animal mascots that engage diners in trivia and slot games. Each order fills a progress bar, and when it hits 100, you unlock a game with a chance to win exclusive Dakkosushi merchandise like stickers, magnets, or even a cute pin featuring a dragon playground design—a nod to Singapore’s heritage. The game mode even includes a mascot carrying a mini orangutan, paying homage to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve location. For those who prefer a focused dining experience, the game mode can be turned off.
A Menu Packed with Global Flavors
To mark the grand opening, Sushiro is rolling out its “Travel the World with Sushiro” seasonal menu, available until July 1, 2025. This limited-time offering showcases creative dishes inspired by Sushiro locations worldwide. Highlights include Singapore’s own cereal sauce-doused creations like Shrimp Tempura with Cereal Sauce (SGD $3.90) and Soft Shell Crab with Cereal Sauce (SGD $5.20), blending nostalgic local flavors with sushi flair.

Other global-inspired dishes include King Oyster Mushroom with Galbi (SGD $4.20) from Korea and Hong Kong Rich Milk Tea Catalana (SGD $4.60) for dessert. Of course, Sushiro’s classic favorites like Bluefin Fatty Tuna, Toro Salmon, and Jumbo Scallop are still on the menu, with some available at a promotional $1.90++ per plate from June 11 to 24, 2025.
Grand Opening Perks
To celebrate the launch, Sushiro hosted a Sure-Win Lucky Dip on June 11, 2025, for diners who spend $60 or more in a single receipt. Prizes include exclusive Dakkosushi merchandise, from stickers to enamel pins, perfect for collectors and fans. Reservations for the outlet was made available via the Sushiro Singapore app starting June 4, 2025, ensuring you secure a spot to experience this high-tech dining adventure.
